Captain Peter Corrao, a USCG Licensed 25 Ton Master, brings decades of global fishing experience to FlyLight Charters. Based in New London, CT, he specializes in fly and light tackle fishing for False Albacore, Striped Bass, Bonito, and Bluefish. For the past 30 years, he’s fished the Long Island Sound, Block Island, Montauk, and beyond. Peter is known for his passion, deep knowledge of local waters, and dedication to making each trip memorable—whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned angler. His favorite target? The fast, elusive False Albacore.

OUTSTANDING! My father booked a trip with Captain Peter for him, myself, and my brother to fish Stripers, Blues and Mackerel today and the experience was incredible. We caught all three of the target species and it was nonstop action all day long.

I booked with Capt Peter and he recommended setting up my trip up around specific tides that he wanted to go to. Sure enough the first spot we went to was loaded with False Albacore and Stripers. We went to several more spots he knew and each was loaded with fish. He is such a pro!
